I worked at Habits Studio in Milan, a design studio led by a professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan with an international reputation. The studio specializes in the design of tech products with a focus on interaction design and user experience. With offices in Milan and Bangkok, the studio collaborates with renowned brands like Haier, Xiaomi, Panasonic, Schindler, Delonghi, ABB, Hatari, and Imetec.
Goal: The goal of my role at Habits Studio was to contribute to the design and optimization of user experiences for digital interfaces across a wide range of tech products, from home appliances to automotive interiors. The studio’s aim was to create intuitive, user-centered designs that enhance the interaction with various digital products.
Approach: I was involved in product design, particularly focusing on interaction design and UX for digital interfaces in products such as coffee machines, household appliances, ovens, and car interiors. The studio’s approach involved closely collaborating with international clients to deliver designs that were not only functional but also award-winning, including the Haier ID Series, which received the UX Design Award and an IF Design Award.
The challenge was to create seamless and user-friendly interfaces that would improve usability without compromising on the functionality or design of the products.
The key takeaway from this experience was the importance of designing for diverse user needs across different products and industries. Working with international clients on various types of tech products reinforced the importance of adaptability and a thorough understanding of user behavior in different contexts.
